CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

We remain committed to a better and inclusive future with our stakeholders and host communities:

  • We continue to support the Project Center of Center (COC), a marine biodiversity conservation program that supports municipalities in the province of Batangas. We provide operational support for the Bantay Dagat (sea watch) in marine law enforcement and biodiversity protection
  • EDC’s greening legacy, BINHI, continues to reforest prime endangered Philippine tree species. BINHI is also advancing natural carbon stores through “10M in 10 for a greener Negros”, which will restore the forest covers of Negros Island
  • First Gen’s environmental focus also extends to the management efforts of both terrestrial and aquatic species in the PantabanganCarranglan Watershed Forest Reserve where the Pantabangan-Masiway Hydroelectric Complex of FG Hydro is located
  • In 2015, we expanded our schools’ rebuilding program. We donated PHP22.8 million to reconstruct schools that were severely affected by Super Typhoon Yolanda and designed them to be more typhoon-resilient. 85 out of 151 classrooms have been successfully reconstructed.
